What should I NOT do if I have flood and sewage damage in my basement?

Answered By Maye Teasdale, Editor

The least thing to do is to prolong the damage. Flood and sewage damage in the basement means excessive moisture, and excessive moisture is the favorite breeding ground of microorganisms such as mold or fungi.

Prolongation of the damage will cause mold growth. Molds can cause health problems for the children and to the adults. Clean up immediately and get rid of the breeding ground.
