How can I get rid of small moldy areas in my home?

Answered By Maye Teasdale, Editor

The key to getting rid and controlling molds is through moisture control. Drying water damaged areas and items are important within twenty four to forty eight hours. Always get rid of water or moisture.

Fixing leaky plumbing or other sources of water is a big help in avoiding moisture thus controlling molds growth. Always dry items and places completely and the absorbent materials such as ceiling tiles and carpet that become moldy should be replaced.
