What can I do if my child is allergic to mold?

Answered By Maye Teasdale, Editor

The best thing to do if your child is allergic to mold is to keep him/her away from molds. You can do this by preventing your home from accumulation and growth of molds.

Air filters and purifiers can help to keep dust particles down that carry molds. However, do your due diligence in selecting the right air filter or purifier as some work significantly better than others.

Most children that are allergic to molds are those that are asthmatic. If allergy occurs because of molds try to consult your physician for advices and treatment.
