If I live in a humid climate, should I put carpet in my home?

Answered By Maye Teasdale, Editor

It depends. But it is not advisable to put carpet if you live in a humid climate. Since molds grow in moisture rich places, humid climate can trigger the growth of moist that also means growth of molds.

Under the carpet, there is a high risk for moist growth. If there is already excessive moisture, the accumulation of molds starts. This will endanger your health. But having a home that is moisture free can help reduce the risk for mold growth in an area with a humid climate.
