The best kind of products to use for cleaning up mold and mildew are the products that can disinfect and can kill molds. It is necessary to kill and disinfect molds to impair its growth.

Detergents are good for cleaning molds and mildew. It has properties that kill molds. But not all kinds of molds can be killed by detergents. Detergents are not that strong and powerful for all molds.

Bleach is best for disinfecting molds. Bleach is capable of killing and disinfecting mold for it is a chemical compound that is harsh to microorganisms.

Acids are also best for cleaning molds and mildew. The most popular is the muriatic acid. It is known to be a very strong acid that are capable of melting and destroying soft items. This will totally kill molds and mildew.
